Powertune is a family business established over 60 years ago to offer motor vehicle maintenance, repair and electrical services for all. The business has been around for six decades and is an integral part of Booysens Reserve, an industrial district in Johannesburg.
Gavin Porteous has more than 40 years in the automotive repair and maintenance trade and started his career with the prestigious Cargo Motor Group where he learnt his trade before joining his father at Powertune. Now the owner he as cultivated a brand that stands for quality, affordability and great customer service.
Powertune offers many services including general vehicle servicing and maintenance, diagnostic testing, electrical repairs, engine overhauls, clutches on all makes of cars and trucks. We also have our own 24/7 breakdown service, a Gulfstream petrol station and car wash on site. The workshop is equipped with the latest equipment for all makes of vehicles. We employ 12 staff members which includes qualified mechanics, apprentices, admin and managerial staff.
